Whether you’re down low or up high, summer in the Whiteface Region is a sight to behold. There are few things as beautiful as the waterfalls and foaming whitewater of High Falls Gorge set against a backdrop of rocky cliffs. You don’t need to be an outdoor expert to see this amazing place up close — the railings, bridges, and walkways make access easy for a range of abilities. And of course, Whiteface Mountain towers over the valley.

The Adirondacks are a hiker's dream! Find your way to our beautiful trails, providing views not many get to experience. Some hikes, like the one to Cobble Lookout, offer outstanding views with minimal effort, while all-day outings include any of the three long, steep trails to the summit of Whiteface, where 360-degree views await.

Once the snow melts and the dirt firms up, the Whiteface Region is home to miles upon miles of amazing singletrack mountain bike trails. Local residents and land owners, trail workers, elected officials, and the state government have all helped turn Wilmington into a mountain biker's haven, complete with planned rides and a variety of trails that are suitable for all ages, levels, and abilities.
